The Millbrae BART Station is the largest to be developed by Bay Area Rapid Transit in over thirty years. With 30,000 daily passengers and a signature membrane-clad winged roof, this terminus station near the San Francisco airport is now a recognized image for the region. This station is the only of its type in the nation to accommodate both electrified trains (BART) and diesel trains (CalTrain) on opposite sides of the same platform. It includes a 2,000-car parking structure, a 16-bus transit center and 1,000 at-grade parking spaces.
